So...The Name

Yeah, it’s a weird one. As its owner I’m still not 100% sure I’m pronouncing it right, but my best guess is: “Shi-Von Mick-Null-Tee”

Anyways, about me -->

The Short

Siobhan McNulty (she/her) is a multi-hyphenate performer and theatre artist primarily experienced as a Musical Theatre Actor and Opera Singer. Siobhan’s extreme versatility has led her to perform in many musical and dramatic genres and mediums and she is always up for trying something new. Based in Chicago, Siobhan has performed nationally and internationally, demonstrating herself as a dynamic performer to watch for.

The Long

Siobhan McNulty (she/her) was born in Chicago, Illinois and after trying out every extracurricular available, including starting her middle school newspaper, Siobhan decided to further explore her love of performing after her sophomore year of high school.

Through her time performing in musicals at Beverly Arts Center and Infinity Arts Academy, Siobhan realized nothing fulfilled her in the same way that performing does. Whatever the genre or medium may be, getting to connect with an audience and tell a story is all she could ask for.

In her senior year of high school, as part of Jones College Prep’s Pre-Law Program, Siobhan was an intern for Catholic Charities’ Legal department, assisting clients from underserved communities in the city. This, as well as her experience helping to organize and work charity events since she was 12-years-old, made it clear that social justice and community outreach would be integral to Siobhan’s work. Everyone has a story worth telling, and Siobhan makes a goal of trying to illuminate those which might go unheard. Disability representation and mental health awareness are causes especially close to her heart.

Siobhan decided to study Musical Theatre at North Central College. During her time at the college, she has studied acting for stage and camera, theatrical design, vocal performance and social media marketing to name a few. She has demonstrated her immense versatility through her operatic and musical theatre roles: Fiordiligi in scenes from Cosi fan Tutte, Ensemble in Next to Normal, Adele in scenes from Die Fledermaus, Rona Lisa Peretti in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Martha in Heathers the Musical, Sara Jane Moore in Assassins and Madame Goldentrill in The Impresario as she has built an extensive repertoire of scene work and songs in the theatrical and operatic canon.

As she enters the professional theatre scene, Siobhan’s experience and training at NCC, and as a young artist at Berlin Opera Academy, Varna International and International Lyric Academy will serve her well as she displays her versatility and artistry in new domains.
