Opera Performance
Siobhan McNulty is an American Soprano known for her powerful voice and stage presence consistently utilizing her versatile instrument with ease in the realms of Art Song, Pop Music, Musical Theatre, Operetta and Opera.

Vocal Attributes & Training
Known for sparkling top notes and a warm middle range, along with a confident lower chest voice, Siobhan is currently building up repertoire in the fuller Lyric Coloratura category, but she has dipped into several fachs along her vocal journey including some light Lyrico-Spinto and Dramatic Coloratura repertoire. Siobhan has been classically trained since she was 15 and has had the pleasure of studying under Tenor Val Kuznetsov, Mezzo-Soprano Jennifer L. Barrett, and Soprano Victoria VerHoven.

Siobhan has previously trained at Berlin Opera Academy, Varna International in South Carolina and with Operaworks in Chicago.
She has participated in a variety of coachings and masterclasses with the likes of Dr. Jolene Flory, David Crawford, Janet Hopkins, Dr. Errik Hood, Amy Shoremount-Obra, Rami Sarrieddine, Calio Alonso, Katrine Hilbe, Dominic Barberi, Ann Baltz, Laura Parker, Eli Villanueva and Rachelle Tsachor.
Recent Work
Siobhan has sung the complete roles of Taumännchen in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel and Mercury in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld. She has also performed scenes as Adele in Johann Strauss II's Die Fledermaus and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte, and has covered Mabel in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance.

Siobhan wore many hats for North Central College's 2025 Opera Workshop, which combined an English-language rendition of Mozart's Der Schauspieldirektor (The Impresario) with a revue of pieces from throughout opera history (At the Audition). Siobhan worked behind the scenes as both Dramaturg and Head Makeup Artist on the production.
She also oversaw the full casts's learning of The Impresario's finale, assisting in rearranging said number from a quartet to a full ensemble number.
Onstage, she sang the role of seasoned Soprano, Madame Goldentrill, tackling Mozart's treacherous coloratura passages with ease and shining in the over-the-top comedic style required by the script. The piece was conceptualized and directed by Jennifer Barrett and Conducted by Tim Semanik.

Repertoire
Siobhan has developed an eclectic repertoire of arias in English, German, Italian and French. She has sung excerpts in recital like Catalani's "Ebben...ne andro lontana" from La Wally, Offenbach's "Elle a fui, la tourterelle" from Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Mozart's "Ach Ich Fuhl's" from Die Zauberflote and Menotti's "Monica's Waltz" from The Medium.

Siobhan is working on a variety of new pieces such as Cipullo's "Valeria's Aria" from Mayo and Bellini's "Ah non credea mirarti" from La Sonnambula

She hopes to soon work her way up to some heavier pieces such as Gonoud's "Je vex vivre" and Stravinsky's "No word from Tom" and ultimately work at some of Violetta's pieces in La Traviata, but that is all for the further off future.
Goals for the Future
Siobhan has received some coaching on several operatic roles. Her voice teacher, Victoria VerHoven has worked with her on Monica from The Medium (Menotti) and Despina from Cosi fan tutte (Mozart). She has also worked on Pamina from Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) with Jennifer L. Barrett and Dominic Barberi and the complete German role of Adele from Die Fledermaus (Strauss) with Lynn Kompass and Jamila Hla-Shwe.

Siobhan also has eyes on a variety of big roles for the future as she expands her repertoire. All of The Heroines in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Musetta in Puccini's La Boheme, Donna Elvira in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Blonde (and later Konstanze) in Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto, and the title roles in Donizetti's La Fille du Regiment and Moore's The Ballad of Baby Doe, though maybe not all in the cards, represent the variety of complex women and beautiful music Siobhan is interested in bringing life to.
